Why Biological Sciences At USK?

Excited by life? The Biological Sciences concentration at the University of Saint Katherine is for students interested in the study of life and living organisms — including biochemical principles, cellular organization, mechanisms of heredity, plant biology and zoology, ecology, and conservation biology. The concentration provides a solid foundation for graduate work and careers in science education, laboratory work, animal care, conservation, field science, science industry, and other life science fields. Students completing the Biological Sciences concentration will prepare an undergraduate thesis focusing on an area of research interest under the guidance of the student’s individual faculty thesis adviser.

Brianna concentrated in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Now she is pursuing an MS in Cardiovascular Science from Midwestern University, where she has developed a passion for congenital, transplant, and valve cases. She is currently doing clinical rotations in perfusion at major hospitals, putting her education into action in direct patient care.
