Dr, Pertler earned a BS degree in Biology from Anderson University and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. During his dental education he worked at the University of Michigan Medical School morgue dissecting cadavers for gross anatomy classes. After graduation he began his dental practice in Flushing, MI. He later sold his dental practice and worked for a Healthcare Technology start-up venture that created care-review and provider profiling software. Dr. Pertler has been teaching college courses since 2003. He has taught Microbiology, Genetics and Pathophysiology, but his passion is to teach Anatomy and Physiology. He loves to read old Christian classics, and is a dedicated Bible learner. In his spare time he swims, bikes and spends time with grandchildren.
