Why Exercise Science and Athletic Performance At USK?

Exercise Science and Athletic Performance at the University of Saint Katherine is an exciting concentration for students desiring careers in personal training, exercise program development, strength and agility coaching, sport science research and application, as well as therapeutic exercise, such as cardiac rehabilitation and other rehabilitative settings. The coursework and required internship provide a solid foundation in wellness and corporate fitness, personal training, strength and conditioning, bio mechanics, exercise science, sport nutrition, and exercise physiology. Students are encouraged to seek appropriate professional certification such as the ACE Personal Trainer exam and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification during the final two years of study, whether or not they intend to pursue graduate studies as well.

While studying Kinesiology at USK, Olivia took a campus job as a Student Health Aide, volunteered with the American Red Cross, played volleyball, and participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

“USK is a faith-oriented environment that can be made highly personable based on your needs as a student and a student-athlete. All USK faculty are student success-driven; they continuously strive to improve the student experience and ensure student needs are met. The athletic programs are incredibly competitive and can bring out the best qualities in you as not only an athlete but a person as well.”
