The Writing Center coaches USK students to improve their own writing by employing a better writing process. We can help any USK student with any kind of writing project at any stage of the writing process.

ANY STUDENT

Any undergraduate student in any program/major.

ANY PROJECT

Essay, article, thesis, dissertation, abstract, lab report, case study, application, cover letter, creative writing, argument, analysis, and more.

ANY STAGE

Brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, proofreading, and documentation.

We look forward to working with you one on one, in groups, online, and in workshops!

IN-PERSON

The Writing Center provides free in-person appointments to the University of Saint Katherine students. The Writing Center is located in the Suite 700 room 705, adjacent to the main campus building (next to athletics).

Be sure to bring the following if applicable:

  • a hard copy of your writing project
  • a copy of the assignment
  • notes and research materials

WALK-IN HOURS

The Writing Center also offers walk-in hours, during which students can work with available staff and peer writing coaches individually or in groups. Students can also use the space to work independently in a supportive environment where they can ask questions as needed.

Time with writing coaches during walk-in hours works on a first-come, first-served basis. Proof-of-attendance receipts will be offered to students who require them.

When: Wednesdays 2-3pm and Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm (excluding university holidays).

Where: The Writing Center: Building 700, Room 705.

APPOINTMENTS

To make an appointment, please email writingcenter@usk.edu or go to the center and sign-up for an appointment in-person.

Students are limited to two appointments per week and one appointment per day. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance so that another student can fill the appointment slot. Students who fail to cancel scheduled appointments in a timely manner three times will lose Writing Center privileges for the remainder of the semester.
